We are committed to providing graduate students with the confidence, knowledge, and hands-on experience necessary to become employed as entry level tractor-trailer drivers. In addition we are committed to fully service our relationships with State and Federal government entities, such as Job Services and Vocational Rehabilitation, by placing their students in a quality training program, yielding gainful employment at the outset of program completion.

THE TRAINING PROGRAM

PROGRAM BASICS

CLASS ROOM INSTRUCTION

Our classroom sessions prepare our students for the Department of Transportation’s Commercial Driver’s License tests. Testing categories include General Knowledge, the Combination Vehicle, and Air Brakes. Included are three additional endorsements in Doubles & Triples, Tankers, and Hazardous Materials. Classroom training prepares you to pass the entirety of the class with flying colors – making you more marketable.

PRE-TRIP INSPECTION

You will learn how to perform a safety inspection of the entire truck and trailer.  The Pre-Trip will enhance your ability to understand mechanical components and recognize unsafe conditions of your truck and trailer.

ROAD DRIVINGS SKILLS

You will learn the art of actual commercial driving with hands-on experience in our truck and trailer. With practice driving in all types of conditions, including driving within tight spaces, over-the-road highway driving, and city driving. In these hands-on classes, students also thoroughly develop defensive driving techniques to protect themselves and other drivers while over the road.

BACKING SKILLS

In addition to complete road driving instruction and hands-on practice, students will also gain experience in truck and trailer backing skills, which are additional skills required for state driving tests. The tests are administered by instructors who are Certified Testers for the State of Wyoming. This training includes straight line backing, alley docks, and offset backing.
